(Nov. 6) Green Giant Fresh brand marketer The Sholl Group II has restructured to prepare the company for expected growth.

The Eden Prairie, Minn.-based company continues to see growth in sales and distribution of its latest line, the Freshtables Steam products, Darci Eckermann, senior vice president, said.

Eckermann was promoted to senior vice president of the Sholl Group II on Oct. 1. She is the former vice president of marketing and business development. In her new position, she will oversee sales, marketing, safety and quality systems and partner relations in both the licensed and value-added segments of the company.

Eckermann will take over some of the responsibilities of former chief operations officer Tom Remick, whose retirement was announced Oct. 31.

"Tom will remain a part of the company, in a consulting role, to provide legal services," Eckermann said.

Remick has been with the company for 14 years.

Jason Landry, former Northern sales manager, has taken over responsibility for the value-added line as director of sales. Landry joined the company in February 2005. He will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales and distribution expansion programs designed to support expanding value-added business.

The Sholl Group, all partners combined, participated in 41 produce categories and sold 30 million cases in 2006.
